Shopian, May 21: Gunfight rages between militants and government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian forests area.
A police offical said that following a tip off about the presence of militants in the Yarwan woods joint column of army CRPF and SOG of JK police launched search operation.
“As the search was initiated hiding militants fired up on the forces which they retailated and triggered an encounter, he said.
