DDC Budgam reviews functioning of SW, ICPS, Handicrafts, Handloom departments

BUDGAM, MAY 20: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today held a meeting with officers and officials of Social Welfare, ICPS, Handicrafts, and Handloom Departments at New Conference Hall Budgam to review the monitoring of different central and state sector schemes during 2018-19.

Schemes of Aasra, NFCH, RMV, WoD, the functioning of children homes also come up in the meeting under review.  Achievements under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme were also discussed along with Handloom and Handicrafts departments. Assistant Director, Handloom and Handicrafts presented the department- wise progress and issues.

DC Budgam while speaking on the occasion stressed on conducting exhibitions/fairs and awareness generation on quality of Kashmiri handicrafts especially Kani Shawls, Buyer-Seller meets and showcasing of products of training centres.

ADDC Budgam, DSWO/DCPU, AD Handicraft/ Handloom, Tehsildar Headquarter, TSWOs, Social Workers, HTOs, AHTOs, Technical officers, instructors and other concerned were present on the occasion.
