Srinagar: One drug peddler was arrested by police at a checkpoint near Soura and contraband substance was seized from his possession.
A police spokesman identified the arrested person as Rashid Ahmad Kuchay son of Mehraj-Ud-Din resident of Maroof Colony Ahmadnagar who remains in custody at Police Station Soura.
Huge quantity of Spasmoproxyvon tablets were recovered from his possession.
“In this regard, a case FIR No 35/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Soura and investigation has been taken up,” the spokesman said.
