Tourism Department, PDA launch cleanliness campaign at Patnitop

JAMMU, MAY 12: The department of Tourism in collaboration with Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), today launched a massive cleanliness drive at the picturesque tourist resort Patnitop.

The campaign started with a cleanliness drive involving all the stakeholders including the Hotel and Restaurant Association Patnitop, JKTDC Patnitop, Local Tour and Travels Association, Local Hawkers and small vendors, Ponywalla Association, local volunteers and other local business and trade community members. The officials from the Tourism office Batote and Patnitop, Floriculture department, Forest department also participated in the drive.

Later, a plantation drive was also launched at Padora, Patnitop wherein 70 saplings of Pine, Deodar and Chinar were planted. The program culminated with a cultural evening by local artists and folk singers.

Present on the occasion were Chief Executive Officer Patnitop Development Authority, Pran Singh besides other senior officers.
