Ganderbal, May 11: School of Education (SoE), Central University of Kashmir (CUK), kick started the third phase of Community Mobilization Programme in order to realize its objective of community service, at Green Campus of the varsity here on Friday.

Under this programme, School of Education, invited many orphans from Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust, Soura, Srinagar, for an interaction with Vice Chancellor Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir on Friday.

Dean and Head, School of Education, Dr. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, said the objective of the programme is to boost the morale and motivate the orphans to pursue education. He deliberated about the role and responsibility of affluent class of the society towards the orphans.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir gave vital advice and words of wisdom and encouragement to the orphans. He also distributed stationary kits among the participants.

Dr. M. S. Bhat, Reyaz Ahmad Wani and Shugufta Rehman conducted the programme.
