DC reviews Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme, Demarcation of JDA Land

JAMMU MAY 10: Deputy Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar, today convened a meeting to review Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme and Demarcation of JDA Land in Jammu District here today.

ADC Jammu Dr Tahir Firdous, ACR Jammu Chander Prakash, Director Land Management JDA Sanjay Gupta, SDM North Satish Sharma, SDM Chouki Choura Chand Kishore, SDM RS Pura Jagdish Singh, SDM Marh Tariq Naik, SDM Khour Anil Thakur, SDM Akhnoor Gopal Singh and all tehsildars of Territorial and JDA were mpresent in the meeting.

Preparation of Jamabandies, digitization of revenue records, demarcation of JDA land, its verification, evacuation of encroached land, setting up of control rooms, vigilant teams, disposal of complaints through Governor’s Grievance Cell and progress of construction of bunkers in border areas were among the major issues discussed in the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner also reviewed preparation of Jamabandies and asked the officers to complete it on priority basis besides holding regular meetings to review the progress in this regard. He said that preservation of precious revenue records of the State is an important task and its digitization should be completed without any flaw.

DC stressed upon evacuation of state land from the encroachers and asked the officers to fence the evacuated land. He said that encroachment is a serious issue and asked for report on regular basis.
