According to locals, the water supply scheme in the area is defunct since December, 2018.

The residents of the area said that they have approached the concerned Public Health Engineering (PHE) officials several time but nothing was done to restore the water supply to the affected villages. “We are being compelled to fetch contaminated water from the nearby nallah,” they said.

They appealed Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and Executive Engineer PHE Kulgam to look into the matter.
