Srinagar, 06 May 2019.      Army Camp Bela Salamabad today organised an interactive session with the Bakkarwaals and Gujjars of the area in order to brief them before they migrate to the high altitude meadows for grazing and dwell there for summer months along with their livestock.

A defense spokesman, in a statement issued today, said that the discussion started off with security and medical arrangements done by the Army for the Bakkarwaals and Gujjars while on seasonal migration and various means of communication for them so that they can get in touch with security forces in times of need. Various other agendas of basic infrastructure, social facilities and education were also deliberated.
