Gandebal, May 03: Members of Civil Society Ganderbal (CSG) on Friday protested against the deplorable condition of roads in and around Ganderbal town.

The protesters, who gathered near Beehama Chowk, said that despite repeated pleas to concerned authorities, the roads were not being repaired. They were holding placards which read, ‘Make roads safe’, ‘Fix our roads’ and ‘We pay taxes, who will pay us for our time on roads’.

“Roads in Ganderbal are in a very bad condition and authorities are turning blind eye towards the issue. Commuters and pedestrians are suffering a great deal. Roads in the district headquarter are in worst condition especially Nagbal-Beehama road,” they added.

Later, CSG submitted the memorandum of their concerns to the authorities.
