SRINAGAR, MAY 1: Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, today greeted the working class on the occasion of International Labour Day.

In his message, Ganai, who is also the Advisor in-charge Labour & Employment Department, highlighted the vital contribution of labour force in the development of the state and the country. He added that May Day gives us an opportunity to remember the contribution of the workers in the development of the State.

The Advisor extended his gratitude to the labourers, who through their sheer grit and dint of hard work, make life easy for all of us and the world a better place to live in.

Describing the welfare of the labour class as a priority, the Advisor said the Labour & Employment Department has started many welfare schemes for their up-liftment. He also urged the industrial establishments and factory owners to cooperate with the State government for the welfare of the labour force.
