Srinagar, Apr 30: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani was admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura on Tuesday after he complained of abdominal pain.

Sources said that the doctors at SKIMS advised him several investigations which confirmed intestinal infection.

Meanwhile, the party spokesman in a statement said that the octogenarian leader was admitted in SKIMS this morning after complaining of abdominal pain. He was yesterday diagnosed by doctors of the gastroenterology department at super speciality hospital Shareen Bagh Srinagar and was diagnosed to be having the large intestinal infection for which he needed to remain admitted in the hospital.

At SKIMS concerned doctors attended the ailing leader and have put him on treatment and advised some investigations. He is physically weak and frail but stable.
