Season 4 of Fantasy Cricket League-2019 begins at Panzgam

Srinagar, Apr 29: Army and Fantasy Cricket Club, the biggest Cricketing League of the Kashmir Valley consisting of 32 teams including 9 teams from outside Kupwara (Handwara, Srinagar, Sopore, Gandarbal, Budgam, Bandipura, Pulwama and Baramulla), came together to organize the Season 4 of the Fantasy Cricket League at Panzgam under the aegis of Army Garrison Trehgam.

According to a statement issued by Chinar Media Heart, the inauguration was conducted at ALG ground Panzgam and the opening match was played between Murtaza Cricket Club   (MCC) RAWATPURA VS REBEL FORCE RAMHAL on 28 April from 1200 to 1700 hours.

“The army had encouraged them, stood beside them and provided the infrastructure and assistance to include leveling of the grnd, seating arrangement and PA system for smooth conduct,” reads the statement.

“MCC RAWATPURA CLUB belongs to RAWATPURA led by Advocate Manzoor Ah Sheikh (captain) and Ashiq Husaain Mir (vice- captain) and REBEL FORCE club belongs to RAMHAL HANDWARA led by Gohwar Ah (captain) and Jaffar Ahd Sheikh (vice president). Today’s match was won by MCC RAWATPURA by 3 wickets,” it said.

“It was encouraging and heartening symbol of the resurgence of the invaluable youth energy being channelized into constructive pursuits. It is worth noting and highly commendable that the initiative was taken by the youth on their own,” it added.
