 Mega Talent Hunt Cricket Tourney kick-starts in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Apr 29: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today inaugurated the much-awaited Talent Hunt Cricket Tourney here.

On the occasion, star cricketer of Kashmir Parvaiz Rasool was chief guest.

Parvaiz Rasool interacted with players and motivated them to work hard with consistency. “This tourney gives you an opportunity to prove your mettle and nobody will stop you from success​if you perform well,” he said.

He further said that Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) was hijacked by some persons but now new era of cricket has begun in Kashmir and things are improving.

Earlier today, SSP Ganderbal formally inaugurated the tournament and expressed joy over witnessing massive participation of youth in the sports.

Speaking to Kashmir Images Sayim Mustafa JKCA District Coordinator Ganderbal said, “These kinds of talent hunt tournaments have given us the likes of Rasik Salam and this year we hope new talent will emerge and excel in cricket.”

Organisers of the tourney said that nearly 100 teams from across the valley are expected to take part in the tourney.

Inaugural match was played between Chundina 11 and Sky Rangers Gadoora at Shalbugh Ground here .

Sky Rangers Gadoora won the match.
