Sana Dua urges Ladakhis for maximum participation in LS elections

Leh, April 26:  Sana Dua, the first Runner up in Femina Miss India 2017 contest who is currently the Brand Ambassador of Jammu and Kashmir Election Authority participated in a special Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in Leh today for educating, creating awareness and motivating the voters of Ladakh for exercising their voting rights and ensure greater participation in the upcoming general Lok Sabha elections. A huge number of young voters participated in this drive.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Leh Moses Kunzang, Nodal Officer SVEEP, Tashi Dolma, Sub Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Sonam Norbu, district officers and officers of education department were present on the occasion.

To ensure maximum participation of voters especially the young voters in the upcoming elections, Sana Dua appealed all qualified voters to vote for a capable candidate. “We all are united by our constitutional rights to vote” she said and added that one each vote is important and decisive to strengthen the India’s democracy, and therefore, every eligible electorate must come forward to vote on May 6th.

Welcoming, the guest and participants, the Joint Director Education Ladakh and Nodal Officer, SVEEP Leh, Tashi Dolma highlighted the SVEEP activities so far carried out in Leh district and hoped that Sana Dua’s campaign would surely pool up added turnout in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
