Army distributes stationary items among students

Srinagar, 24 Apr 2019. Pir Panjal Brigade organized a students’ felicitation programme at Army Good Will School, Boniyar and Gagar Hill Primary School on 20 Apr 2019 and Govt Boys School, Balkot and Govt Girls School, Nambla on 21 Apr 2019, a defense spokesman said in a statement issued today.

The event was aimed to enhance the interest of local school going children by providing them free basic educational amenities, he said.

“The event was a goodwill gesture by an NGO named Jammu & Kashmir Study Centre, Chandigarh and Jai Kumar represented the NGO. Army liaised with the NGO for benefitting local school going children of border areas along the Line of Control in the area,” he said.

He further said that a total of 170 children and 8 teachers of villages Chotali, Somwali, Gagar Hill and Jabri; 200 students of AGS Boniyar and 300 students at Balkot and Nambla attended the events. The event was attended by Army officers from the Pir Panjal Bde and neighbouring Army Camps.
