“Some locals spotted the body of Mubashir under mysterious circumstances and informed the police, which took over the body. The body bore some dog bites and was taken to hospital for autopsy,” said a local resident Ishfaq Ahmad.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Baramulla Dr. Syed Masood said a team of doctors conducted the autopsy in the hospital and it would be premature to say anything prior to report as samples were sent to Forensic Sciences Laboratory.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Abdul Qayoom also confirmed the death of youth. He said police has handed over the body to the family after legal formalities and investigation into the mysterious death is going on.
