The polling teams shall be deputed to the Gurez valley on Sunday three days before the elections as the valley is cut off from the rest of the world owing to heavy snowfall on Razdan Pass.

On the occasion the DEO said all necessary arrangements have been put in place for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the district.

Meanwhile, the General Observer for three assembly segments of Bandipora district Narayan Chandra Sarkar interacted with the polling staff and the nodal officers of various election teams. He also observed the mock poll and reviewed the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of elections at Gurez valley.

The General Observer will be available at R&B guest House Bandipora near SK Stadium during office hours to meet the public and can also be contacted on +916005916270 and 01957-225325.
