Bandipora, Mar 28: An unidentified female body was recovered from Jhelum river near Dangerpora area of Sumbal in Bandipora district on Thursday.
An official said that sand diggers found a body floating in Jhelum near Dangerpora area in the morning and informed the police, who took the body to Sumbal for identification.
He said that the post-mortem of the body is being carried out and other legal formalities are being done.
