The Returning Officer said unreported violations will result in strict action against the concerned AROs.

The AROs were also directed to impart proper training to the polling staff so as to ensure that no problems or issues are encountered by the said staff during the poll duty.

The RO directed that positioning of EVM and VVPAT machines along with the associated staff must be properly managed so that in case of technical faults or malfunctioning substitute machines are dispatched to the polling station to prevent adverse impact on voting.

It was also directed that AROs must ensure availability of basic minimum facilities at all polling stations.

The RO also instructed for ensuring facilitation of voters with disabilities as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.

The Nodal Officers were instructed to facilitate members of armed police force and army personnel serving outside the State to prepare postal ballot papers after following due procedure in efforts to facilitate them to cast their votes.

Observers of all assembly constituencies falling within the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency also attended the meeting.
