KVIB Kargil organizes State Development Prog under NSSH scheme

KARGIL, MARCH 26: Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Kargil organized a State Development Programme under National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) for SC/ST MSMEs at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) here today.

The programme was organized for the dissemination of information about various schemes of the Central and State Government for the welfare of the SC/ST population.

District Officer KVIB Kargil Muhammad Hadi Balti, Superintendent ITI Kargil, representatives of District Lead Bank Manager, JKEDI, District Industries Centre and people from the targeted population were present on the occasion.

While giving a power point presentation, District Officer KVIB Kargil Muhammad Hadi Balti said that the State Development Programme under National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) is envisaged to impart entrepreneurial skills to SC/ST population to enable them to establish the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He said that NSSH can play a pivotal role in the socio economic development of the marginalized communities and bring them at par with the mainstream.

The District Officer KVIB further informed that to give upward fillip to the business of MSMEs owned by the SC/ST entrepreneurs, the Government has mandated four percent of total procurement by Central Ministries Department. He said that KVIB being the nodal agency for NSSH programme organizes different programmes and workshops with the stakeholders of SC/ST MSMEs.
