Kadfeen censures Govt. over keeping polling staff’s additional salary in limbo

Srinagar, Mar 24: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Sunday demanded immediate disbursement of one month additional salary to the employees who have discharged their election duties during Muncipal and Panchayat elections.

Kadfeen in a statement said that it is unfortunate that even the orders issued by the government itself in Jammu and Kashmir are turning out to be the promises of an inconstant beloved, hence hitting the credibility of the democratic institutions hard with each passing day.

“On December 20, last year, the Jammu and Kashmir Government ordered the release of one month salary for the employees who were deployed for conduct of Municipal and Panchayat polls,” he said.

Kadfeen further said that more than three months have passed since the issuance of the order and the employees are still waiting for the much hyped addition wages.
