Kulgam police cracks theft cases

Srinagar: From the last past few days, Kulgam police received complaints about theft cases in the area and accordingly case FIR Numbers 23/2019 & 24/2019 under relevant sections of law were registered and investigation was initiated, a police spokesman said.

During investigation, Kulgam police arrested the main accused identified as Shahid Ahmad Kumar son of Gull Mohammad Kumar resident of Phaloo Kulgam. Stolen items including CCTV cameras and medicines worth lakhs of rupees were recovered by Kulgam police.

The spokesman said that during further course of investigation, another person identified as Nishat Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Ayoub Dar resident of Chehlan Kulgam proprietor of Dar Medical Store Chawalgam Kulgam was found involved in receiving these stolen medicines.
