Incessant rains trigger soil erosion at Sherpora B’la

Baramulla: At least eighteen families in Sherpora village of Baramulla district were affected after their residential houses developed fissures and cracks following incessant rains on Wednesday.

According to locals, around ten residential houses were damaged due to land erosion triggered by incessant rains at Sherpora village of Kandi belt in Wagoora Tehsil.

The affected families have have approached the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, GN Itoo, for taking immediate steps for arranging temporary residential arrangements.

“The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla has issued immediate directions to concerned Tehsildar Wagoora asking him to visit the affected families and submit report to the  Deputy Commissioner’s office,” officials said.
