J&K Bank inaugurates new premises in Beerwah, Budgam

Srinagar, Mar 18: Reinventing customer-interaction platforms and service-spaces, J&K Bank on Monday threw open new state-of-the-art premises of its 47-year-old Business Unit Beerwah in Budgam district.

The Bank’s Executive President Abdul Rashid Sheigan inaugurated the new premises and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in presence of Zonal Head Kashmir (Central-II) Syed Rais Maqbool, Cluster Head Budgam Shabir Ahmad, Business Unit Head Beerwah Shamim Ahmad amid a gathering of valuable customers, representatives of various trade bodies of sub-district Beerwah, businessmen, senior citizens, officers of the bank and local residents.

Highlighting the socio-economic importance of Beerwah and the bank’s commitment to provide high-end service to the people of the area since 1972, the Executive President said, “J&K Bank caters to the financial aspirations of the local populace by continuously devising new schemes and upgrading existing ones. Besides, latest digital banking products are made available by the bank for all people to fulfill their financial needs.”

Praising the people of Beerwah for their unflinching support and unshakeable faith in J&K Bank, the Executive President asserted that the Bank will continue its mission of socio-economic transformation of J&K state and beyond. “In the past nine months, Rs. 21822 Crore credit has been disbursed in J&K State, out of which 68 percent share belongs to J&K Bank. This demonstrates the bank’s commitment for overall socio-economic prosperity of the state.” This, he attributed to the “high level of trust and faith” that people of J&K put in the state’s premier financial institution.

Expressing gratitude at the inauguration of the new premises, Farooq Ahmad Wani, representing various trade bodies of sub-district Beerwah hailed the bank for being a beacon of economic prosperity and providing unparalleled facilities in the banking industry while also praising the bank staff for their honesty and dedication. Another prominent citizen Ghulam Qadir Dar representing regional development forum highlighted the role of J&K Bank in the everyday lives of people.

Earlier, Zonal Head Kashmir (Central II), Syed Rais Maqbool welcomed the attendees and urged them to take advantage of various schemes and products of the bank. He acknowledged the importance of working in coordination to achieve the desired socio-economic transformation of the area.

Cluster Head Budgam, Shabir Ahmad presented the vote of thanks and commended the management of the bank for alleviating the concerns of the local populace by providing a spacious, vibrant and aesthetically pleasing premises for their convenience.

The new premises besides being a visual relief has a world-class banking infrastructure, orderly designed seating arrangements and an ambience that is carefully curated for customer comfort and convenience – reiterating banks commitment to provide best-in-class facilities for all stakeholders. Featuring wall graphics, the new premises is meticulously branded to provide a reinvigorating atmosphere and helps connect with people from all sections of society.

Notably, the bank has a total number of 1038 branches out of which 877 branches are located in the state of Jammu & Kashmir with a significant number of branches serving far flung areas of the state.
