Srinagar, Mar 16: Even as a local news agency reported that a militant was killed in a brief shootout in Kulgam Saturday, police said that no militant body has been recovered from the site of a firefight even as searches were going on in the area.
A police official said that the search operation is going on at Kujar where the militants and government forces exchange brief gunfire.
The officer said that after search of three hours no militant body has been recovered yet.
Earlier, news agency GNS quoting a police officer said that a militant was killed in the shootout.
