JAMMU, MARCH 11: Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai today listened to people’s issues here under the aegis of Governor’s Grievance Cell. He met several public delegations and individuals, who apprised him about their issues and demands.

Around 25 deputations and scores of individuals apprised the Advisor of their grievances and sought his intervention in ensuring redressal of the same in a time-bound manner.

A delegation of Hanch, Zehand, Malna, Jigote, Dhara from Doda demanded upgradation of Government High School, Hanch to Higher Secondary level. Another deputation from Zadan, Top Neel and Kastigarh urged for construction of roads, filling of vacant teacher posts, upgradation of schools and other developmental works in their respective areas.

A deputation of Sarpanchs and Panchs and College Coordination Committee of Tehsil Moungri (Reasi district) sought establishment of Government Degree College at Moungri, creation of new educational and agriculture zones, opening of government treasury branch and Police station at Moungri and  upgradation of Government High School, Panjar to higher secondary level.

A delegation of J&K ReT Teachers Forum projected the service related issues of graduate and under graduate teachers. A group of Academic Arrangement College Lecturers urged for regularisation of their services.

Residents of Govind Nagar, Gool Gujral projected their demands of up-gradation of internal roads of their area and installation of street lights.

Meanwhile, a public delegation from Pernote, Hernai and Panthan  from Doda district sought intervention of  the Advisor in the  inclusion of revenue villages Pernote, Shoot, Premnagar in newly created Tehsil Bhella, construction of state level stadium at Panthan, up-gradation of hanging School, Panthan, inclusion of tehsil Thathri in centrally sponsored scheme for Saffron cultivation  mission, inclusion of pilgrimage destinations Thathri,  Bhella, /Chiralla in tourism map, augmentation of lift drinking water supply scheme from Premnagar to Pernote.

Inhabitants of village Mangota from Rajouri urged for the better management of Ziyarat Baba Zakri Shah under the control of Auquaf Administration and sanctioning of scholarships for B.Tech ST students.

Similarly, a delegation of Tanzeem Madaris Ahli Sunat projected the issues of Madrssas.

All J&K Gaddi Sippi Tribes Welfare Association’s delegation demanded smooth functioning of Gaddi Sippi hostel at Udhampur, scholarship for Gaddi Sippi on the pattern of Gujjar and Bakerwal students, establishment of Gaddi Sippi hostel at Jammu, Bani, Bhaderwah and Ramban, upgradation of schools in Jib and Panchari zones, opening of dispensary at Panchayat Charote and upgradation of water supply scheme in Assar block.

A delegation of Arts and Research Foundation raised the demand for organising 3 day cultural festival cum exhibition on the eve of Navreh-2019 falling in the month of March/April.

Another deputation of Parli Dhar, Ramnagar from Udhampur demanded upgradation of Government High School, Konain to Higher Secondary level.

Inhabitants of village Bupp of Chenani Tehsil raised the issues of their area which included augmentation of drinking water supply scheme, establishment of Khidmat centre, construction of model school, promotion of tourist destinations and opening of government fair price shops.

Several other delegations and individuals raised issues about their respective areas and demanded timely redressal of their grievances.

The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the delegations and assured them that their grievances and demands will be looked into for early redressal.
