Gulmarg March 03: Gulmarg Ski Patrol team, Sunday, rescued an Australian skier, Ialliza, who had hurt her knee while skiing in Merry-Shoulder range of mount Affarwat at Gulmarg. The area, pertinent to mention, is not patrolled by Gulmarg Ski Patrol team.

Ialliza was rescued after the Patrol team was informed about her presence in the Backcountry area. The rescue operation was conducted with efficiency and the injured skier was immediately brought to the Kongdori Ski Patrol Base for first aid. She was later taken to the Heath Care Centre, Gulmarg for further treatment where she is said to be stable.
