Sopore: Two persons were arrested for the drug offences during Naka checking at Batpora Sopore today.
A police spokesman said that officers have seized 370 tablets of Proxyvon and 10 bottles of Sycudine from drug peddlers namely Faisal Ahmad Dar son of Tariq Ahmad Dar resident of Mumkak Sopore and Ovais Bashir Shikari son of Bashir Ahmad Shikari resident of Sher Colony Sopore.
A case FIR No. 40/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sopore.
“Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law,” the spokesman said.
