BUDGAM, FEBRUARY 28: Deputy Commissioner Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today visited family of Kifayat Hussain Ganai who was killed at the site of yesterday’s IAF Mi 17 helicopter crash here at village Gariend Kalan.
The DC handed over relief cheque of Rs 4 lakh to Bashir Ahmad Ganai and Afroza, brother and sister of Kifayat as ex-gratia relief under SDRF.
The DC sympathised with the family members over the loss and assured that District Administration will make all efforts for providing all possible help to the family. She said that administration will also write to the IAF to extend help to the family.
Kifayat died when an IAF Mi-17 helicopter crashed few hundred metres away from his house on Wednesday.
