Baramulla: A civilian was Friday killed during the clashes near gunfight in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to hospital sources a civilian identified as Waseem Ahmad Mir, son of Muhammad Akbar Mir of Sagipora Langate sustained injuries during the clashes and succumbed to his injuries onway to hospital.
The slain was declared brought dead by doctors at District Hospital Handwara after he was taken to the hospital.
The gunfight as per police was going on when the report was last filed.
