SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 27: Ahead of upcoming elections, two training sessions for the polling staff were organised here today.
Over 600 polling personnel from different departments attended the training programmes.
The training was conducted by Assembly Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) under the supervision of District Election Officer, Dr Owais Ahmed.
The trainees were acquainted with the operation of EVMs, VVPATS and allied tools for smooth conduct of polling. They were also briefed about the duties and functions of polling officers and advised to monitor all activities in the polling booths.
The training programmes were organised for Wachi and Shopian assembly segments.
