BARAMULLA,  FEBRUARY 27: Taking prompt action on the fire incident that occurred last night in Khawaja Sahib Mohalla, Old  town of  Baramulla district where four residential houses were gutted, District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Ittoo accompanied by SSP Baramulla and officers from various departments today visited the area to get the first hand appraisal of the situation.

On the Occasion, the DDC interacted with several deputations who appraised him about their demands with regard to their rehabilitation. The DC assured them that every possible help would be provided on priority basis.

Meanwhile, DDC announced a cash compensation of Rs 10,000 out of the Red Cross Fund among the victims and directed for providing blankets and other essential requirements immediately. He also directs the concerned officers to make a detailed assessment of the damage, so that proper and timely compensation to the victims is provided at an earliest.

Dr Itoo directed the concerned officers to ensure proper and timely compensation to the fire victims whose property was damaged in the fire incident.
