Jammu and Kashmir Women’s helpline organizes awareness camp at CRC Srinagar

GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 23: Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Helpline (181) today organised an awareness camp at Prang area of Kangan Ganderbal District.

State coordinator of J&K WHS Bilal Bhat said that JK WHS (181) is a joint initiative of Union and State government to provide 24 hour-immediate response to women affected by violence and represent them in front of appropriate authorities which includes Police, legal authorities, department of health and Social Welfare.

He said that women in distress can also reach on the number (181) who would be provided with immediate psychosocial support which includes counselling.

The aim of organising this camp was to impart education to Women’s folk, students, and faculty members regarding women rights and the role of One Stop Centre (OSC) in securing and promoting those rights.
