Srinagar, February 21: Jammu and Kashmir government announced to extend the winter vacation in schools till March 2. The schools shall open on March 5, a government announcement said.
An order in this regard was issued by secretary school education department on Thursday.
The order stated that the vacation was extended up to March 02 in view of the extreme inclement weather conditions adding that the class work in all the schools will resume on March 05.
“However the teaching faculty and other staff of government schools shall report to duties on February 25,” the order added.
