Bhadarwah, Feb 20: Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah (AIB) has called for a shutdown in Chenab region on Thursday as a mark of protest against the harassment to the Muslim community and damage to their properties in Jammu violence.

In a statement, AIB president Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh claimed the Jammu violence was an “implementation of RSS agenda against the Muslims especially of Chenab Valley, Pir Panchal and Kashmir.”

The AIB issued the call for peaceful shutdown to show solidarity with the people of Chenab Valley, Pir Panchal and Kashmir residing in different parts of Jammu.

Shutdown call by Anjuman-e-islamia Bhadarwah in Chenab region has been supported by Majlis-e-Shoura Kishtwar, Seerat Committee Doda and Anjuman-e-Islamia Thathri.

“Governor Satya Pal Malik has started showing his true colours, It seems that for Indian government, it has become order of the day to harass Muslims. Perhaps this is the only way they can remain in good books of their RSS masters in Nagpur,” said Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.
