Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik today paid tributes to Doctor Farooq Ahmad Ashai on his death anniversary.
To remember Dr Ashai, JKLF had organized a meeting which was attended by JKLF leaders and activists in large numbers and was addressed by many speakers, a JKLF spokesman said.
While paying rich tributes to Ashai, JKLF chairman said that Doctor Ashai was a humble soul who throughout his life stood for the cause of freedom and justice and served humanity till his last breath.
“He remained steadfast while fighting for the human rights of Kashmiris and as a doctor always cared for his patients,” he said, adding, “The brutal way in which doctor sahib was martyred by Indian forces is a glaring proof of oppression and aggression in Jammu Kashmir.”
