DDC Kulgam reviews progress under CAPEX budget

KULGAM, FEBRUARY 13: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of the departments under District CAPEX Budget.

The DDC took sector wise review of projects undertaken by different departments/agencies funded under District CAPEX Budget allocation. He reviewed the progress of Rural Development Department, Irrigation and Flood Control, R&B, Health, PDD, Animal Husbandry, Education, Youth Services and Sports, PHE, Sheep and Animal Husbandry etc. He also stressed on optimal utilisation of the funds for better results.

An allocation of Rs133.77 crore wassanctioned for the district under CAPEX Budget 2018-2019. The meeting wasinformed about the progress achieved in various sectors during the presentfinancial year. It was given out that under R&B sector macdamization on 53.36 kms has been accomplished in the district and work on VethvethrooBabpora bridge has also been completed.

ACD informed the meeting that with an expenditure of Rs 1.3 crore RDD has taken up 75 works in convergence mode with line departments and has completed 53 works of different nature and rest work projects are in final stage of completion and under special development plan 28 works are executed by RDD with an estimate cost of 1.40 crore and the work projects will be completed within the stipulated time frame.

AD fisheries briefed the DDC that restoration of water supply to trout fish farm Chawalgam has been completed.

It was also given out in the meeting thatArtificial Breeding station is complete in all respect.

Detailed discussions were held on variousissues related to effective implementation of vital schemes in the district.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilise all the sources foreffective and timely completion of developmental projects.

The DDC directed the concerned Executing Agencies to speed up the construction work on various Mega Projects including District Hospital IPD block, Maternity Hospital and at all other projects.

The meeting was attended by CPO Mohammad Ashraf, ACD Hilal Ahmad and other district and sectoral officers.
