All the government offices including LAHDC Secretariat, DC Office, and court remained closed together with all business establishments all over the district in protest.

People of the district have called for closure of government offices from tomorrow till their demand is fulfilled. The Employees Joint Action Committee Kargil has also extended their support to the shutdown.

The protesters once again marched from Islamic School Chowk towards DC Office today with black flags in their hands and protested there for the whole day.

During the previous night more than 3000 people assembled at Larse Masjid and blocked the National Highway 1D forcing the new Divisional Commissioner to return back to Leh from Wakha.
