Srinagar: One army man and a militant have been killed in the encounter at Ratnipora area of Pulwama of south Kashmir on Tuesday.
Army’s Srinagar based spokesman said that a soldier lost his life during the firefight.
“In the Ratnipora operation one militant has been killed and his weapon have been recovered. In the gunfight one soldier lost his life as well,” he said, adding that the operation has ended.
Earlier a joint team of army’s 50 RR, 10 PARA, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Ratnipora area following specific inputs about the presence of two to four militants today wee hours.
