SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 08: Director, Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Tariq Ahmad Zargar Friday reviewed the functioning of Kashmir Division offices of the department here at a meeting.

Joint Director Kashmir Mohammed Ashraf Hakak briefed the Director about the overall functioning of the directorate including distribution of advertisements, payment of bills on behalf of advertisements, liabilities and other related aspects.

The Director also took stock of the functioning of PR section, including the availability of human resource and machinery in the Newsroom.

Highlighting the importance of the PR section, the Director said the News unit plays an important role in ensuring timely dissemination of information with regard to government schemes and programs. He said the upkeep of the section needs to be maintained at all the costs.

The respective heads were directed to maintain the official records by using available technological interventions.

A threadbare discussion was also held regarding the alternate accommodation for   Kashmir Division offices. Zargar directed the concerned to ensure that suitable accommodation is identified which is accessible to the Directorate DIPR, Government offices and to the media houses.

The meeting also discussed various employees’ related issues. Assistant Director, Information (FPO) Mohammed Aslam Khan, Assistant Director (AV) Shakeela Shawal, cultural officer Riyaz Ahmed Fazali representatives of camp office directorate were present at the meeting.
