High Court organizes guest lecture on ‘Judgment Writing’ via video conferencing

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 7: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court today organized a guest lecture on ‘Core skills of judgment writing’ in both the Srinagar and Jammu wings through video conferencing facility.

The lecture delivered by Justice R. K. Gauba, Judge Delhi High Court was attended by Judges of both wings of the High Court as well as by Judicial Officers at all 22-district headquarters including Leh and Kargil. Trainee Judges at Delhi Judicial Academy also attended the lecture.

The lecture was aimed at enhancing the core skills of judgment writing among the Judicial Officers of the State.

The event was the result of close cooperation and coordination between the Delhi High Court and the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.

In her introductory remarks, Chief Justice Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Gita Mittal, laid emphasis on the process of learning from each other’s experiences and hoped that this will be a forerunner of many such programmes on different subjects organized for collective benefit of the whole judicial system.

Chief Justice thanked Delhi High Court for the conduct of the lecture through video conferencing.

Later, an interactive session was held in which various Judicial Officers from Srinagar, Bhaderwah, Ramban, Udhampur, Samba, Leh and also the Trainee Judges at Delhi Judicial Academy raised their queries about the topic.
