Sopore, February 4: The Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Supervisors on Monday staged a protest over non-payment of salaries since last ten months.

According to reports, scores of ICDS Supervisors assembled outside Dak Bungalow Sopore and staged a protest demonstration to press for their demands.

Speaking to ‘Kashmir Images’ ICDS Supervisors Union State President, Abida Hassan, said: “We assembled here today to inform the Advisors to Governor about the non-payment of salaries to ICDS Supervisors.”

“Recently our department issued a circular asking all ICDS supervisors to attend Training Refreshment programme in Srinagar but we don’t have a single penny in our pockets and it is impossible for us to participate in the programme,” She added.

Later, ICDS Supervisor Union State President Abida Hassan along with other supervisors met Advisors to Governor and submitted their memorandum of issues.
