Sopore: A Fire and Emergency Employee died during duty hours due to severe cold in Sopore town of Baramulla district, official said on Friday.

Official at Fire Emergency office Sopore told Kashmir Images that Selection grade Fireman SG1493 Manzoor Sultan (43) Son of Mohd Sultan Parray Resident of Ujar Handwara was found dead inside the room and later he was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Hospital officials confirmed to Kashmir Images and said, Manzoor  Sultan dies because he may have not resist severe cold and their is no need of postmortem.

Speaking to Kashmir Images Abdul Khaliq Wani, Assistant Director Command Officer Fire & Emergency Services Sopore / Kupwara said, “Manzoor was a Blood Pressure Patient and he was taking medicine regularly, but today he was found dead inside the room,”

Officer further said, we are on way to his native village along with dead body for last rites.
