He said following a tip-off, police established a ‘naka’ (checkpost) at Kralpora. A vehicle (JK0IR-4584) was stopped and 19 kg of brown sugar was recovered from the possession of Raina and Badan travelling in it, SSP said.

With this catch, he said police has successfully targeted the narco-smuggling network in the district, which will be helpful in the long run to protect the gullible youth from indulging in drug abuse.

He informed that a case (FIR no. 2/2019) under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Kralpora and further investigation in this regard set in motion.
