Evidence collection programme by FSL Concludes

Jammu, January 28: A specialized training programme of police personnel of Jammu Zone on collection of various kinds of evidence/exhibits from the scene of crime has started by the Forensic Science Laboratory at Jammu.

The basic purpose of the training course is to do capacity building of their police personnel and to utilize their service to collect the exhibits from various crime scenes in their service to collect the exhibits from various crime scenes in their respective Districts.

In the 3rd phase of training programme 04 police personnel each from Districts, Reasi, Leh and Kargil were put on 10 days comprehensive training at FSL, Jammu w.e.f. 16.01.2019. The participants were given intensive training for collection of evidence from scene of crime. Forensic kits were also allotted to the trainees for use in the Districts.

On the closing ceremony of 3rd batch on 28.01.2019, Shri Anand Jain-IPS, Director FSL, J&K, briefed trainees about utilizing their expertise to collection of evidence from the spot of crime. He emphasized upon the importance of collection of evidence in investigation of cases.

Among others, Masood Sadiq, I/C FSL, Jammu, Scientific officers R.K. Hangloo, P.K.Abrol,  R.S. Jamwal, , Narinder Kumar Sharma, Assistant Scientific Officer, Nazir Ahmad, Adm, officer, FSL, and other senior members of FSL were present on the occasion.
