President’s & Sher-I-Kashmir Police medals announced

Jammu, Jan 25: Forty-three J&K Police personnel have been given President’s Police Medal as Ministry of Home Affairs announced medals of different categories on the eve of 70th Republic Day, Friday.

This includes 25 Police Medals for gallantry, one President’s Police Medal for distinguished services and 17 Police Medals for meritorious services, an official press release informed.

One hundred fifty three Personnel of J&K Police have been awarded Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for meritorious service and Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day while as 147 police personnel including 32 Gazetted and 115 Non-Gazetted have been awarded Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for gallantry. Six officers have been awarded Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for meritorious service, press release informed.
