JAMMU, JANUARY 25: Governor Satya Pal Malik felicitated the student achievers of the Delhi Public Schools of Jammu, Katra and Nagbani for their achievements in varied arenas of curricular and extracurricular activities, in a function organised at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Ajat Shatru Singh, Trustee Maharaja Hari Singh Educational & Social Foundation; Kr. Ritu Singh, Pro Vice-Chairperson DPS Jammu; S.S. Sodhi, Director Founder Member Board DPS Jammu; Ruchi Chabra, Officiating Principal, DPS Jammu;  Raj Kumar Verma, Principal DPS Nagbani; Vandana Sharma, Incharge Principal DPS Katra accompanied the students.

Governor congratulated the students for their outstanding achievements and advised them to work hard for creating bench marks in their chosen fields. He observed that only knowledge can truly empower a person and advised them to utilize this period of their lifetime in honing their capabilities.

Emphasising the importance of education, Governor observed that only those nations progress which devote a significant portion of their resources towards building their education system.

Extending greetings for the 70th Republic Day, Governor noted that Constitution of India empowers each and every individual of this country to aspire for the highest possible position irrespective of his or her background. He observed that India is known for its intellectuals and our scientists, academicians, thinkers have been working for the progress of the humanity since time immemorial. He emphasised that the young generation should get inspiration from our exemplary intellectuals and carry forward their legacy for future generations.

Governor highly praised Sufiyaan Chouhan who recited a poem on patriotism on the occasion and wished all the students a bright future ahead.
