NABARD promotes skill development project on mobile repairing in B’la

BARAMULLA, JANUARY 22: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), today inaugurated a skill development program on mobile repairing at Singhpora Block of District Baramulla.

The program was inaugurated by DDM NABARD Zubair Wasil in presence of lead District Manager and program officer WYATH Service Private Limited.

District Baramulla has been awarded as an Aspirational District by NITI Ayog. It was revealed that such skill development programs will enhance the skilled labour in district Baramulla and will help to achieve a good ranking in NITI Ayog under Aspirational District plan.

Guiding the participants, NABARD DDM Zubair Ashraf Wasil appraised about the need for skilled labour in the district and NABARD role in promoting skill development in the country. He emphasized that these programmes aim in identification and motivation of potential entrepreneurs for providing them with entrepreneurship development inputs as well as technical skill development inputs, and familiarize them with various schemes of Govt of India and state government for the upliftment of the unemployed youth of the district.

The second program sponsored by the NABARD in the district Baramulla will be implemented by the WYATH service limited which is a partner agency of Skill India and NSDC Limited. The program will train 30 candidates who will get benefit with a skill-set of mobile repairing techniques during 60 days course program. The agency had selected the candidates from nearby areas of Singhpora, Pattan and Mirgund of district Baramulla.
