Closing ceremony of 21st J&K State Taekwondo Championship-2019 held in Jammu

Jammu, Jan 21: A spectacular closing ceremony of 21st J&K STATE TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 was held at Brahman Pratinidhi, sabha, Jammu on Monday.

The event was organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), which is recognized by Indian Olympic Association (IOA) at Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Parade Jammu.

14 Districts and two of the Professional teams AITA (Atul’s International Taekwondo Academy) and SAI-SAG, Kargil across the state participated in the said championship. All the aspiring medalists from all the districts took part in the above mentioned event. The procedure for organizing the 21st J&K TAEKWONDO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 was completely based on National events. The event was designed and proposed by the technical committee of J&K Taekwondo Association under the supervision of Mr. D.N. Pangotra (Acting President, TFI).

On the closing ceremony of 21st J&K TAEKWONDO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP one of the professional demonstration team of state “SAI-SAG, Kargil” showcased their demo skills. As expected, the closure show was an amazing and absolutely sparkling. But the true stars were the athletes from 14 different teams who gave the very best of themselves in the championship from past two days. All the people who have visited the 21st J&K TAEKWONDO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP have remarked on the excellent organization of the championship, with a particular focus on safety.

District Jammu has been declared the overall championships in 21st J&K TAEKWONDO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP   while as District Samba and SAI-SAG, Kargil shared 1st and second runner up respectively.

On the said occasion of closing ceremony Vikram Randhawa (MLC) joined as the chief guest, while as Mohammad Ali Majaz (President BJP Kargil) declared as Guest of honour.

Vikram Randhawa (MLC) while felicitating the medalists congratulated all the athletes for winning medals and J&K Taekwondo Association for organizing the 21st J&K TAEKWONDO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Shubash Shashtri (President NMC) Declared as Special Guest on the closing ceremony accompanied by B.S. Jamwal (Retired DC Samba).

Later on the ceremonial stage was joined by Mr. Atul Pangotra (Referee chairman TFI), Romesh Chander Sharma (Manager DBPS & joint sec. JKTA), Mohammad Hassan Pasha (VP BJYM, J&K), Mohit, Gurinder Rakwal, Rajesh Sharma (Information) and Jagjit Singh (Advocate, General Sec. JKTA).

Atul Pangotra (Referee chairman TFI) while talking with media officials addressed about the event that “our main focus was just to provide a better platform to the youth and young athletes of Jammu And Kashmir State. Later he further added “that we are doing our best to promote this Olympic sport in the all Corners of state.
