Addressing a public meeting in Raipur Domana area, PCC Chief G.A. Mir claimed that UPA Govt. had brought a law for the betterment of the farmers which stood for providing four times compensation of the market value of the land acquired for any project.  He was referring to the issue in the context of the demands of farmers whose land is being acquired for ‘Ring Road Project’ and have not been provided adequate compensation.

The meeting was also attended by Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, Rajnish Sharma along others, the press release added.

Mir also went on to say that Modi Govt. was anti-farmers and  anti-poor and added that the NDA Govt. did not bother about the hardships of the farming community, poor and labour class and as it was ‘busy’  protecting the interests of capitalists and rich.

Stating that Congress party had always implemented policies and programmes for the welfare of common people, especially poor and weaker sections of the society, Mir said that the single proof for it was the fact that more than seventy thousand crores were waved off during UPA Govt. besides immediate implementation of the loan waver promise for the Madhya Pradesh recently.
